LOCODELEGATIONS AI CONNECTOR
EARLY BETA
Bring trusted delegation answers to the whole council.
The early beta is designed to let council staff—including staff who don’t use LocoDELEGATIONS day to day—ask questions in plain language, confirm who has authority to act, and generate useful delegation reports through council-approved AI tools.
LocoDELEGATIONS administrators will also be able to use approved AI tools to undertake a wide range of authorised administration—from managing instance settings and delegation configurations to maintaining register content and supporting other day-to-day tasks.
LocoDELEGATIONS remains the council’s authoritative source, while the same roles, permissions and governance controls continue to determine what each user can see and do.

The council decides what connects
The feature is off by default. Approved AI clients can be added or withdrawn by the Administrator.
Existing permissions remain the boundary
Requests are tied to a signed-in LocoDELEGATIONS user and role, using Microsoft Entra ID or the normal local sign-in.
Nothing is sent on its own
Only the result of a specific authorised request is returned. The register is not bulk-exported.
A PHASED AND REVERSIBLE BETA
Test identity and governance before enabling delegation tools.
The current live connector confirms the connection, council, user and role. Councils can test this foundation before delegation information becomes part of everyday AI use.
Read-only delegation queries, useful reports, per-call audit records and tightly controlled Administrator tools are planned for progressive introduction during the beta. Extending access to council staff who do not use LocoDELEGATIONS day to day is a key beta objective, subject to technical design, security confirmation and council approval. The connector uses the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) so councils are not restricted to one AI provider.
